On November 19, we held our CD release show for our new record, Lost and Found at the Parkside Lounge on East Houston Street in New York City. The Parkside has become probably our favorite venue: decent sound in the room and on stage, a smaller room so that the audience is unable to hunch at the back of the room. We can actually see the people we are playing to, and we get to keep the door. Which is not always the case.

We decided for this gig and with the new record, in general, that we would pursue the “Radiohead/Nine Inch Nails” model of asking people to name their own price for the CD.

We wanted to present the new record more or less in its entirety (though not in order). Opening with “Love and Affection,” and interspersing some of our older songs. “Locked Down” in particular was incredibly powerful, with the band pushing very hard and establishing the “tension and release” of the song superbly. We showed off what we feel is our strongest material to date. Speaking of "Locked Down" we asked one of the original members of the band, Rob Holm, to join us on some background vocals.

We’re playing the Parkside again on January 28th, and then Connolly’s Klub 45 Room on February 18th. Come hear for yourself. We'd also like to thank Abby Raucher and Susan Staal for the pictures you can see below.
