Lenny has been playing bass guitar since he was 17. In the early 80’s he formed a band called Magi with some high school mates. They concentrated on the popular metal of the day for audience purposes such as bands like Van Halen, Black Sabbath, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. But his passion lay in the progressive art rock genre. He attributes much of his learning to bands like Yes, Rush, Marillion1 2 , Genesis (with Peter Gabriel), etc. Soon after high school, they all went their separate ways.

Lenny found that it was complicated finding the right people to play with. Having somewhat of a short attention span he found himself dabbling with other instruments such as keyboards, guitar and mandolin but always kept his red Rickenbacker as his main instrument. Understanding other instruments and having a wide appreciation of different artists has influenced his approach to the bass guitar. Everything from the melodic piano of Tori Amos to the tortured darkness of Tool finds its way into his playing. He also found inspiration from the other musicians in his family. His brother Joe and cousin Lenny are great guitar players that he continues to look up to.

Recently, the planets have aligned, and by a true stroke of luck he came across the ad placed by Home to Henry for a bass player. By this time, he was in the right place in his life and went full on to make his mark with them.

“I am truly grateful for this opportunity. I was so excited with the music that I heard from Home to Henry that I was jumping out of my skin the days awaiting their decision. For me I found that these guys really "got it." Music that is interesting and fun to play while still being accessible to a wide range of people. I look forward to the ride and being part of the ongoing creative process. As I get more comfortable with their previous music and apply my own style to new songs we’re working on, I continue to appreciate being in a band with such inspiring musicians. In getting to know the other band member’s influences and styles, I have grown as a player. No pun intented. ”

“Albums that have had the most impact on me:
Yes - All of It, Marillion-Script for a Jester’s Tears, (That’s why I have the tattoo) Rush Hemispheres, Roll the Bones, Tori Amos Songs from the Chiorgirl Hotel , Abnormally Attracted to Sin, Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach Painted from Memory. B52's, Jellyfish, Wondermints, Carpenters, ABBA,  The Bugaloos, 5th Dimension, Association, Bjork, Kate, did I mention Tool.

“Who I’m listening to today - Bleu, Jason Falkner, The Mars Volta, Fates Warning,; The Kin, PlayRadioPlay, Emiliana Torrini and of course, Home to Henry.”
